When riding in golf-carts....

Be very careful/cautious as to the firmness of your grip. These little things don't go too fast, but when the wheel is jerked with enough force they take turns very fast. If a firm grip is not enforced when a sudden wheel jerk is applied one could possibly be ejected from one of these small vehicles, especially when hanging on the back of the cart reliving ones childhood dreams of being a garbage man.... In the event that this cart is traveling on pavement, as opposed to grass the impact from ejection could be gnarly, painful, and not fun to say the least. This pavement could possibly rip your clothes, or brand new suit. Even worse you could split you head open, jack your elbow up, or your hip or tailbone.

This sort of incident could possibly hinder a good golf outing, or perhaps a nice wedding at the country club. Caution should always be exercised when put into this sort of compromising situation.

Just remember, these are trying times in our lives and the world right now, so use golf carts responsibly....

This Weekend

Ventured to a little rock/metal club last night in West Hollywood, The Cat Club, to see a friend play, unfortunately made it there about 15 minutes too late. Decided to stay anyway to hang with him and see some other interesting acts. These other acts are where the conversation point of the night was observed. The lead singer of the one act, not sure of their name had jeans on that were revealing his particularly oddly shaped package.... I'm not apposed to such attire on men or women, but when it looks like something has been rearranged or shifted in an odd way, one should definitely consider an alternative outfit for the evening. Beside that they really rocked, good stuff!! After cat club we ventured to another bar and out for some late night Pho. Sounds like a semi-uneventful weekend, as that was the highlight, but good times with new friends non the less!

Tomorrow we hit the flea market/vendors at Fairfax High on Beverly and Fairfax! Always a good time accompanied by some good finds I'm sure!

Enjoy!

Viva Las Vegas

Vegas is always fun for about a day or two, or an hour or two, all depending really on how fast you can spend your money. This time we spread it out a little, took some breaks in between, rode a rollercoaster, and spent part of a day in “Old Vegas” This may have been the highlight of the whole trip, “Old Vegas”, with the Golden Nugget, the place on the corner that has sold some odd million or so shrimp cocktails in its history, but the most fascinating part was to come, a reminder of the need for self control while in Vegas.

While walking through the old strip we noticed an older gentleman stumbling around, not so much drunk as just dazed looking. He obviously knew where he was, but had no acknowledgement of those around him. He was bantering a bit to himself while stumbling around, but as we came close came the climax of the observation. The man stopped dead in his tracks, closed his eyes a bit, cocked his head up and shouted “SOMEONE GET ME A FUCKING TICKET OUT OF THIS PLACE!!” True story, I can provide witnesses....

Oh yes, and our hotel room had a mirror with wood throughout it on the ceiling.... Vegas Baby

Oh no Bu****to King!!

We get our stuff moved in, Erin doesn’t feel that well so me and my buddy Sam decide to unwind and venture on out for a drink on this nice, but chilly LA evening. We have a little session at the Cha Cha lounge in S-Lake, talk to some good peeps, and the hunger sets in.... We venture on down the road, make a few turns, end up on Sunset blvd, at a favorite little LA mexican joint(which will remain nameless here) that is usually incredible, and lives up to that reputation this evening as well. We go both go our seperate ways and get some well earned sleep. The next day is not pretty for either of us! Carnage and other sorts of sickness spells ensue for most of the rest of the day....
